The bar is a bright, cheerful place, boasting several tables - both card game and otherwise - and a dartboard. It also has a counter, though the alcohol that was once abundant was since destroyed by the queen. The fireplace is large and almost always lit, and given that it's a great place to socialize and catch a meal, it's not surprising that your character might want to spend time here! Named The Globe by its previous owner, Sebastian, the name has been kept as a measure of respect, along with the food menu.
THE MENU:
Sadly the varied menu of drinks that was around in its previous owner's time have long since run out due to the person(s) responsible for magically brewing them having gone home. There's a tiny store of vodka left which is now kept fully in reserve for special occasions, and several different attempts at moonshine, which... are functional if not exactly tasty. Nami is looking into other methods of restocking that are tastier, and thus far there's the possibility of more vodka being made. Stay tuned.
AS OF LATE APRIL 2013: The bar is now stocked with a neverending supply of decent rum! Nami will fill a bunch of the old unbroken bottles with the stuff, because guaranteed she's not keeping a magical bottle of rum on a premises which keeps getting assaulted by random psychotic children. :|
Food-wise, much of the original menu is still on offer, although stocks may dip during winter:
SNACKS
- The Chickenleier (aka The Med'an) : sandwich with toasted bread, grilled chicken meat, salad, tomatoes, eggs, onions, mustard.
- Liquid Warmth : vegetables soup (carrots, potatoes, eggplants).
- The Orchard Treasure : apple pie.
- Yellow Softness : scrambled eggs with cream, herbs seasoning.
- The Treat : strawberry and cream cupcake (spring & summer only).
- Refreshing Savour : forest fruits ice-cream (summer only).
- Autumn Sweetness : pumpkin pie (autumn only).
- Oh Oh Oh : gingerbread cookies (winter only).
PRICES
Everything is technically free. However, the food has to come from somewhere, and so does the alcohol itself! Anything that you can supply Nami with. Herbs, plants, flowers, fruits, meat, fish... Those will be used to make the drinks and snacks. Also, if there's anything useful you can do for The Globe staff, it will be greatly appreciated.
But don't worry if you can't pay, drinks and snacks will never be refused to you. (Nami will just casually remind you of this fact a lot, for she is a harridan like that.)
OPENING TIMES
Intermittently between 1pm and 5pm (mainly for anyone who wants to get lunch) and each night from 5pm through to midnight.
THE IMPORTANT PART AND WHERE YOU GUYS COME IN:
The bar is never unstaffed. If neither Nami nor Sanji are available, the bar is closed. If you have a thread that takes place in the bar that would attract the attention of one of the bar staff, please leave a comment here. (Examples: a fight breaks out, someone breaks a glass, raised voices, or you just want a bartender in your thread being a bartender for whatever reason.) We want to hear about this because logically if these things happen, the bar staff will take note.
They also may intervene. For example, if there's a fight they'll break it up (or try). If property gets damaged or the place is disrespected, they may boot you out (or try). For something like a broken glass or such, you can probably just assume the barstaff came and cleaned up the mess and left you to it... and for raised voice conversations, theyre not likely to get involved. (But chances are they will eavesdrop, so. At your own risk.)
