[Nami's had quite enough of sleeping. It's kind of disconcerting to be told it's now September, and it doesn't help that she's spent the time since Ling's rude wake-up call still sleeping most of her day away. So tired, all the time. Prone to falling asleep mid-shower, and that is annoying, to say the least.

Oh, well. A week has gone past and she can finally get through most of the day with no problems, so Nami takes advantage of the fact that there is no Chopper to tell her otherwise (and no Katara or Law at the house at the time) to sneak up to the orchard and see how it's fared in her near-two-month absence.

...huh. Been hot lately, she sees. And a lot less mikan up here than she was expecting. Nothing too alarming, and the place seems okay otherwise, pinwheels and all. Someone even fixed her cottage door, lookit that.

Welp. Observant villagers might see the low-lying rainclouds to the northeast of the village, a tiny little storm that barely covers an acre. It's too hot today anyway, may as well take advantage of the fact that she can cheat.]

Thanks, whoever fixed my door. Did you take some of the fruit as payment or should I blame someone else for that?

Hmm, I suppose you're right. Still, it would've been much better if they'd just asked first, or waited their turn. That way we could be sure that everyone got some.

That's something at least. I mean, it's fun to discover new places, but it's just as wonderful to be able to visit old ones. I've left a lot of friends behind me on our journey. I'll go back and see them some day.

Yeah, admittedly that's pretty rude. [She knows, Jack. :| You're just lucky you help out enough to make your thefts worth it!] If it ever happens again, just set Biri on them.

That they are. And they well outweigh the terrible ones. And the terrible ones tend to advertise themselves well ahead of time, come to think of it... saying "You filthy humans!" is kind of a giveaway.

He was kissing me. [Pout. But she can't hold it for long, one corner of her mouth turning up.] I don't know, I think waking up to find some guy in your face is a little surprising. He's probably lucky that's all I did. Or that nobody else got involved. [Sanji.]

You're right, they are kinda dumb like that! [He laughs, even though he knows from the example of Tobi that this isn't always the case. He then goes on jokingly.] Come to think of it, you never say anything like that, Nami, so I guess it's okay to trust you.

I'll be there in fifteen minutes! [Probably closer to ten, but WHO'S COUNTING. Most of that time will be spent packing up her food, and then prancing/skipping/dancing/floating/rolling/flying his way to the mikan orchard. Someone's been in a very good mood, lately]

Nami-swaaaaaaaaaan~! [He lets loose an obnoxiously loud call that echoes through the air before he remembers she's still feeling tired, so maybe he best not overdo it. Mind, he can at least wiggle through the rows of trees on his search]

Luke? [That makes her turn. The mention of Anise is more than enough to cinch it, but just in case--] Luke with the red hair?

Seriously, though. Wouldn't you rather find a girl who won't reduce you to poverty for the sake of a kiss?

Ahaha... I'm not sure Biri even needs to be told to do that. He does a fine job looking out for the orchard on his own.

Then I'll entertain myself with wondering how many refugees fled screaming from the orchard with an electrical duck chasing them out.
