[Nami gets home from her mission late evening on the 2nd and knows pretty must straight away that something is off. Having been gone nearly two weeks, running into Sanji the way she does puts a bad taste in her mouth.  She was looking forward to seeing them.

Once Sanji leaves with his spooky darkness powers, she strides through the house in search of other nakama who are awake in search of answers.  Don't worry, if nobody's awake she'll just shake someone awake. 8Db  Maybe all of you!

...and that shows her quite plainly that the experiment going on isn't just affecting her chef.

FML.

In a temper the next morning, she heads through town, meets some very off-kilter people she knows, and at least thanks the powers that be that she's unaffected this time.  It doesn't improve her mood any, so she heads for the battledome to try and work out some stress and try (yet again) to see if she can locate the way down to Catherine's lab.




Okay, yes.  That was kind of easy.  TOO BAD ABOUT THE MESS.]

[Irritated Voice]

Does someone want to explain to me what the hell happened in the battledome?  If any of you are still sane, that is.  [She flops down in the wreckage of Catherine's lab and pans the video across the rubble.  Doesn't seem much need for secrecy.  This has to have been noticed by now, right?]   And if anyone is still sane, please tell me what the hell is going on today? 

...preferably over alcohol.

[She'll vent her temper on killing a bunch of pirates at the battledome, drop by the battledome clinic on the way out, then swing past Raine's with a handful of papers in hand.  And finally, she hits the bar to drink in moody silence.

Unless of course anyone wants to keep her company, because that'd be kind of cool.  Worst homecoming ever. >E]

[... oh where to start.] Been a bit of world-visiting lately. We've been going to different worlds, and... I guess some people are coming back different.

You remember when that guy Bil said he'd let us visit worlds?

Turns out he wasn't kidding. I even went to one. [Yeah, it was kinda weird. :\a]

[voice] Oh pff. I thought of his name and then typed it, crap. No, he doesn't know.

[... Nami, just how long have you been gone?]

Y-yeah... only for a little less than a day.

Do you want to meet up and talk in person? I can be at the bar soon.

[voice] LOL I've done that. I'LL PRETEND HE SAID CATHERINE.

[Less 'time gone' and more 'shunning the town at the wrong moments'.]

...sure. I'll be there in an hour or so. Gotta drop something off first.

All right, I'll be waiting there. [And sure enough, he'll be there with his hat hanging off his back, looking around for her every few minutes.]

[She'll come stomping in soon after she said she'd be there, looking somewhat annoyed. Something about everyone in town being crazy 8|a Who knew.]

[Oh don't worry, he noticed it, too. It makes him feel odd, too. When he sees her, he waves a hand to show where he is.]

Hey. [Despite her mood, she smiles faintly.] Been a fun week?

If by "fun", you mean "frickin crazy", then yeah. [Forgive his sarcasm, he's not too pleased about all of this.]

Mmm. [Nami orders a drink for them both before she asks the next question.]

How's Marco this week?

Normal. [Do you hear that relief.] Glad to know you are, too.

Heh. Just lucky, I guess. You don't seem to be doing too badly, then. [She sips her drink.] Just try and live with it for a few days. People will start freaking out and getting back to normal.

No, pretty sure I'm fine, too. [He swirls his drink a bit before sipping.]

[...he does seem the same. But he went world-visiting. Weird.]

I guess it'd be hard for you to tell if you weren't. Nobody's given you strange looks about anything?

[He shakes his head.] Not really. I haven't run into too many people who are kinda different. I've seen them around and thought something was off.

I'm not sure how, but I think only certain people were affected.

From what I've heard, it seems a lot of people vanished on the 1st, here. And they're the ones that are affected now. Are you missing a day?

Yeah, I did... but I don't feel any different or remember anything different.

But you wouldn't. [Her smile is rueful.] On the other hand, you definitely come from where you think you come from.

...hmm. [And she remembers the stranger in her kitchen this morning. And Vivi's knowledge of him.]

[He raises an eyebrow curiously.] Sure, what do you need?

Give me a list of all the people you know of in town that come from our world.

Mn, okay. There's you, me, Luffy, Sanji, Chopper, Zoro, Keimi, Law, Vivi, Smoker, Marco, and that ghost girl. I forget her name, but she sure doesn't like you guys.
