[Nami gets home from her mission late evening on the 2nd and knows pretty must straight away that something is off. Having been gone nearly two weeks, running into Sanji the way she does puts a bad taste in her mouth. She was looking forward to seeing them.

Once Sanji leaves with his spooky darkness powers, she strides through the house in search of other nakama who are awake in search of answers. Don't worry, if nobody's awake she'll just shake someone awake. 8Db Maybe all of you!

...and that shows her quite plainly that the experiment going on isn't just affecting her chef.

In a temper the next morning, she heads through town, meets some very off-kilter people she knows, and at least thanks the powers that be that she's unaffected this time. It doesn't improve her mood any, so she heads for the battledome to try and work out some stress and try (yet again) to see if she can locate the way down to Catherine's lab.

Okay, yes. That was kind of easy. TOO BAD ABOUT THE MESS.]

Does someone want to explain to me what the hell happened in the battledome? If any of you are still sane, that is. [She flops down in the wreckage of Catherine's lab and pans the video across the rubble. Doesn't seem much need for secrecy. This has to have been noticed by now, right?] And if anyone is still sane, please tell me what the hell is going on today?

...preferably over alcohol.

[She'll vent her temper on killing a bunch of pirates at the battledome, drop by the battledome clinic on the way out, then swing past Raine's with a handful of papers in hand. And finally, she hits the bar to drink in moody silence.

Unless of course anyone wants to keep her company, because that'd be kind of cool. Worst homecoming ever. >E]

Quite frankly, I don't know. But seeing as it is the battle dome, I'm sure there were some people around who could account for what happened. It's just a matter of them speaking up.

I was just expressing surprise that they Organization has not attempted to clean up the mess. [But it was Bil's battle dome to begin with, so perhaps they didn't want to touch his Shifts.]

Ah. I... see. [Something feels off here. Yes.] Well, unless it was the...the Organisation that did it in the first place. Then I guess they wouldn't bother.

[He muses over the theory Nami puts forward, but is distracted by her question.] You did mention something about sanity, didn't you... I feel fine. Did you notice something else amiss?

...no. I guess not. [Except for the fact you're exceptionally free with words there. 8|a "Quite frankly, I don't know?"

Nami stares at him briefly, and then glances back to the lab.]

Anyway, the place has been gutted. Catherine hasn't been on the network about it at all?

[Gutted? Well, that catches his interest. He'll have to head down there later.]

He has not. Nothing from the others, either. [He's rather vague on that matter, but he hopes she understands he is talking about Molly and John.

He continues with a wry tone.] Perhaps something happened involving his experiments.

Wouldn't surprise me. [It helps that Nami has despised Catherine for a long time, now. She frowns.] Convenient that half the village is crazy right now, too.

Indeed. [And ... if he continued with the theory he had just put forward...] If it was a side effect of his experiments, and the place he had been in is now gutted, that begs the question -- how long will half the village be crazy?

How long has this been going on? [Given what Perona had to say..] Just a couple days?

Not very long. There seemed to be confusion over the journals beginning yesterday.

[He seems reluctant to answer the next question, but it's a momentary reluctance.] I don't have any memory of April 1st.

[Sooo that answers one question. If her estimate's correct. Not that it means much in the scheme of things.]

Guess I'll just... look around here and see if I can find out more about what's going on.

...It's hard to find most questions strange during a possible experiment. We are still living together -- and with Caesar.

Do you suspect the housing situations as another change? [If it was a repeat of that ... Luceti Valley incident, at least no one was moving in or out of his house this time.]

It is for some people. My chef has certainly forgotten he lives with us. [She was also asking because she has something for Raine, but that's beside the point.] And we've got some guy who swears he's been living there all along.

Someone who is not a member of your crew? Strange. [Of course, he does not know the specifics of Nami's living situation, but considering how close they all were, it sounded strange to add someone not from their ranks.]

Well, let's hope nothing violent comes out of this. The confusion is more than enough at this point.
