[Nami gets home from her mission late evening on the 2nd and knows pretty must straight away that something is off. Having been gone nearly two weeks, running into Sanji the way she does puts a bad taste in her mouth. She was looking forward to seeing them.

Once Sanji leaves with his spooky darkness powers, she strides through the house in search of other nakama who are awake in search of answers. Don't worry, if nobody's awake she'll just shake someone awake. 8Db Maybe all of you!

...and that shows her quite plainly that the experiment going on isn't just affecting her chef.

In a temper the next morning, she heads through town, meets some very off-kilter people she knows, and at least thanks the powers that be that she's unaffected this time. It doesn't improve her mood any, so she heads for the battledome to try and work out some stress and try (yet again) to see if she can locate the way down to Catherine's lab.

Does someone want to explain to me what the hell happened in the battledome? If any of you are still sane, that is. [She flops down in the wreckage of Catherine's lab and pans the video across the rubble. Doesn't seem much need for secrecy. This has to have been noticed by now, right?] And if anyone is still sane, please tell me what the hell is going on today?

...preferably over alcohol.

[She'll vent her temper on killing a bunch of pirates at the battledome, drop by the battledome clinic on the way out, then swing past Raine's with a handful of papers in hand. And finally, she hits the bar to drink in moody silence.

I was hoping you could tell me what was happening. [A long, suffering sigh.] Even the hollow scouts I sent to keep watch on things couldn't tell me just what was going on! Activity stopped for some time, and when it picked up again, there was such a change...

What do you mean, activity stopped?

Mm, well...stopped may have been wrong. But many of the people who go to the same places, walk the same roads, and do the same things suddenly vanished for one day. Or they didn't show up. [Perona shrugs, she doesn't care much, but it was pretty strange, when she saw that a huge percentage of the goings-on of Luceti just stopped because people were...not there. Not around to man areas or shops or anything.]

I didn't think much of it at the time other than it was very strange, but now...everyone's acting differently now that they've come back.

Yes, of course I remember! I didn't go anywhere at all, but everyone else seemed to just vanish for a full day. Did you notice anyone of yours leaving and reappearing, Pirate Woman?

[Because from the sounds of it, a few of your buddies may have been affected. Perona's definitely curious, but if the Straw Hats aren't themselves, it...may not be wise to go near them. Who knows what could happen? And she'd rather not abandon her body when things are weird like this.]

[Gone? Gone where? Perona wonders, but doesn't pry - the business of the Straw hats is no longer of much concern to her, after all. She's really just curious as to their livelihood because she herself is bored and lonely. Stuffed animals and her hollows can only occupy her attention so far.]

[Perona actually chuckles at that, and pushes one pigtail over her shoulder.]

I've assumed as much. You'd have to have some sense to escape from that perverted beastman like you did. Horohoro...but if your crew is really as different as you're making them out to be, I can keep them in line if you like.

[And, as if on cue, one of Perona's hollows peers into the journal camera, smiling. Hallo thar.]

[Oh, boo. Perona pouts, and waves off the ghost absently. She's terribly bored, all alone in this big building, with no one on her floor to talk to or play with. It'd be amusing, at the very least, to torment the Straw Hat crew a little with her negative hollows.]

Eh, I know I can beat you all so long as that Long-Nose doesn't show up, but I have no need. Without Moria-sama here, I can do whatever I please whenever I want. And everything is free, so I don't have to do much at all to get whatever I need. Oh, I wouldn't worry too much. He just sits around and says grumpy things about pirates most days.

A few sailing ships around the place, as well, but only one of them owned by a pirate. And the barrier still stops you from sailing off, but it's better than nothing.
