[Action/Video] Day 5 onwards

[And on the first four days of this experiment, lo, the navigator was completely unaffected and oblivious, casually making use of Trafalgar Law's coated ship to pretend Luceti doesn't exist explore the ruins beneath the water.  She'd have invited Raine, only you know.  Under the surface and all.  S'all good.  It's not like the rest of the village is going nuts or anything, is it?

...and on day 5, there is a lot of screaming, lost to the depths of the sea.  Luckily, her journal is off for that part, or she'd never live it down.  However.]

Zoro!!  Katara?  Someone get me off of this thing!!   Why is it always a boat?

[Ship, Nami.  But hey.   Feel free to drop in on her for a rescue or a random teleport or whatever floats your...boat... /shot


From day 7 onward Nami will be afflicted by the teleporting bug herself, turning up in all sorts of awkward places.  Not always fully dressed.  Beware:  she will charge you for the privilege,   8|  Throughout, though, she really kind of believes she's someone else, married with three children.  Ahahaha.  She may kill someone when this is over.]

[Of course, Luceti Valley's Nami might not be familiar with magic or some of the more practical uses of it. Raine on the other hand, has had quite a few years of learning new techniques. One of which is creating something rather like a magical blow dryer, taking the warm air and directing it to flow toward them. At least it will help enough so that they're not standing there dripping, and there probably aren't too many layers to worry about given the warm weather.]

Although it might be prudent to head to the clothing store, just in case. [It is closer than either of their houses.]

[...yeah okay, that's new. And Nami is up for shopping on most days, but she seems to be lacking in cash this week and... and... uh.]

How long have you been able to do that?

Oh, that? [A pause. What was the safest way to answer this question?] ... It's been a while now. It comes in handy if there isn't a dryer around.

I ...didn't know. [But then lots of the village is crazy today. Maybe Raine is affected or maybe she's just always been able to do this and Nami hasn't noticed... either way, shopping.]

Well, it is pretty handy. Thanks. I hope they'll let me run up a tab at the shop, though.

It's not something that really would have come up unless the circumstances were... like this, I suppose. [She waves it off.]

I don't think they'd mind. It's a shift, I think they could afford to be lenient in this case. [Even if what Nami's said strikes her as being off, better to just go with it.]

Hey, are you feeling okay? Not randomly jumping about the town or anything, are you?

I appear to have a case of teleportation hiccups or...something. But fine. Kind of wish this had happened a couple days ago, really.

At least those wear off after a time. [She tilts her head at the second statement.] Oh?

I woke up on a ship on the bottom of the ocean. With an air bubble, but... uh. Kind of hard to leave.

... That sounds horrible. You don't remember how you got there?

No. I just woke up and there it was. It happened to me last year, too, but at least that one was on the surface.

... What a bizarre coincidence. [Although something about this still sounds off somehow. Hm. At least they're almost to the clothing shop.]

[Shopping therapy is awesome. Nami pushes open the door.] I know, right? It's weird that we have ships on our ocean without anyone claiming ownership. But you know the weirdest thing?

[Without ownership? That seemed unlikely. Although something about the mention of ships and the red hair clicks in with a name, finally. Nami. Pieces falling into place. She steps inside the shop. It seems a little haphazard. Likely the result of a frenzied experiment week.]

Today, or something in general?

[...wow, what happened to the shop? Nami looks around in indignation for the person working there and ...finds nobody. Huh. 8|a Distractedly she replies.] In general-- or what I saw when I was on the ship. Did you know there were ruins out there under the ocean?

You saw the ruins under the sea?! [Train of thought derailed for a moment here.] Was the structure still intact, or did the water have a clear effect on them?

[...er. Okay. Nami looks totally taken aback at this newfound change and after a moment gives a mystified shrug.] I...don't know? I've never seen them before.

It's been years since anyone was able to set foot in them! Before it became a vast ocean, that area was once an arid desert!

Huh, really? That must be going back a way. [Sounds legit to her. Raine's obviously talking about centuries, here.] I didn't know you were interested in that sort of thing.

Ancient history has been a fascination of mine for as long as I can remember!
