[And on the first four days of this experiment, lo, the navigator was completely unaffected and oblivious, casually making use of Trafalgar Law's coated ship to ~~pretend Luceti doesn't exist~~ explore the ruins beneath the water. She'd have invited Raine, only you know. Under the surface and all. S'all good. It's not like the rest of the village is going nuts or anything, is it?

...and on day 5, there is a lot of screaming, lost to the depths of the sea. Luckily, her journal is off for that part, or she'd never live it down. However.]

[Panicked Voice]

Zoro!!  Katara?  Someone get me off of this thing!! Why is it always a boat?

[Ship, Nami. But hey.   Feel free to drop in on her for a rescue or a random teleport or whatever floats your...boat... /shot

From day 7 onward Nami will be afflicted by the teleporting bug herself, turning up in all sorts of awkward places. Not always fully dressed. Beware: she will charge you for the privilege, 8| Throughout, though, she really kind of believes she's someone else, married with three children. Ahahaha. She may kill someone when this is over.]

[Lady who the heck are you-- only it doesn't really matter because that is a calm voice asking an interesting question and maybe everyone in Luceti woke up on underwater boats this week but either way Nami will take a moment to take a deep breath and answer in a tone a few shades less than panic.]

Below it! There's water everywhere but it's not on the ship and I don't know what's holding it back but it doesn't exactly look stable. [And in the background there is the sound of thumps and...was that the scrape of a desk moving?] It's a different ship than the last time this happened. [Jesus, Luceti. STOP TROLLING ME.]

[FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCK.]

Okay, listen. You are on a coated ship. It's called the Shinonome. You saw something that looked like a soap bubble holding back the water, yes? It's much more stable than it looks. It takes a lot to pop it.

You are going to be alright. And I am going to come to get you. [She may have to steal a boat and some crew, but hey, Pirate Captain. What do you expect.]

But I need to figure out where you are, okay? Can you help me with that?

[Oh, okay. Except she doesn't quite believe you about the soap bubble because soap bubbles arent any good at that sort of thing, but the idea of rescue she can believe in. There's a long silence, but only because she's having an internal debate with herself, which she kind of wins (but also loses) when her more rational mind points out that barricading herself in the cabin will not stop her drowning if the bubble gives out, no matter how she tries to waterproof it.]

...yeah. Yeah, I can. Give me a second. [There goes that desk again.] But I don't know what kind of directions I could give! I mean, I'm really a long way down, so unless there's a reef or something...

I'm pretty familiar with the area, so if you can see any underwater formations and describe them to me it really will help.

If that fails... there should be maps on board. Somebody may have plotted the boat's last position.

All right. Give me a minute and I'll see what I can see. Besides fish.

[And that shark that came a little close; she holds her breath until it leaves. Hghdsdfs what kind of weirdo has a ship on the bottom of the ocean?]

[That someone being Nami over the course of a few weeks, but shh.]

[And since we need a crew to get to her, especially in this WICKED THUNDERSTORM GOING ON... {Oh hai, filter to all rescuers (and those who are considering it) of distressed ex-navigators... YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE!}]

Oi. She's under the water at the submerged ruins. I need some people to help me grab a boat to get to her. Preferably those who can sail.

[Because dudes and dudettes? The underwater ruins are waaaaaaaaaaaaaaay beyond any swimming distance.]

[Nami doesn't answer straight away, too busy fielding concern from some others-- it's only a minute or two, though. (Hopefully Law's had luck by then.)]

... well, I have for the last little while. The coating feature is pretty new, though.

[With everything Shifting, Nami thinks it's best not to ask too many questions because she can just avoid the headaches that way. Wait for the Malnosso to fix things and sort it out later.]

Well, uh. I hope you're back to normal soon, anyway.
