So I'm curious. How bizarre did some of your reminder cards get? Did anyone not take them all at face value?

[She has valid reasons to ask, trust me. Selfish Nami-is-pissy reasons, mind, but that's what happens after you've spent a week with a scattered crew and a comatose chef and a mallynapped swordsman and find yourself playing babysitter to a bunch of people who really ought to know better, not looking at you, Perona. Also there's an anniversary coming up she really wished she hadn't still been around to see.

Ergo, busy day ahead.]

[Locked to Shikamaru]

Hey, you wanna catch up for a drink?

[Yes, random ninja are often asked out on quasi dates.]

[Locked to Tony Stark]

Mind if I drop round? The normal way, this time.

[Aside from these possibly redundant plottin shenanigans, Nami will be in her usual haunts: the mikan orchard in the afternoon and Good Spirits in the evening. Though around noon she's gonna drop in to Seventh Heaven (or if it's still closed, wherever Sanji is) to check on him. Just to make sure things are, y'know, okay now. Because mad cooking sprees are kind of a cause for alarm.  Moreso than Sleeping Beauty syndrome. Back atcha, chef.

Also, Zoro, hurry up and come home. She wants to have words about certain balancing games played. *_*]

She won't have a problem with it. Don't worry. [Pepper's never been like that, and for someone who's kept a lot of female company over the years? He appreciates it.] I'll see you at four.

[And Tony even answers it in a timely fashion! A remarkable feat for him, even if he was expecting her.]

Afternoon, Nami. [He steps aside to let her in.] To what do I owe the pleasure?
alloys: (☢ only one minute left in my brain;)

[Good boy, Shikamaru. Indirectly feeding his ego. She's right, of course.]

Wise decision. You aren't going to find someone better. What did you have in mind?

I had a thorough chance to study their schematics on recent mission and look inside myself. [And seriously. Getting inside of the droids? Seeing finally what made them tick? Very satisfying.] More power to you if you want to do it. The big question is: how are you planning to catch one?
alloys: (☢ girls are mermaids;)

I got into the real thing. Garden variety, but droids nonetheless. That was the point of the mission. We were on a sabotage team. My particular assignment was to mess with the droids' internal structures to cause them to malfunction.

[So he got a pretty good peak, there.]

Hardly. To be perfectly honest, I don't think we could study those enough.

[Finding out what he had only opened up avenues for more questions, and more theories. Not that he's complaining.]

Their combat proficiency is derived from a highly advanced form of programming code. I wasn't assigned to it, but I picked up enough from the programmers who were. It's highly sophisticated, lengthy and extremely versatile, compacted in all the most logical ways. That's why the droids are so competent at reacting to different types of fighters. It's written in their brains to know how to reaction to anything imaginable.

It's probably worth mentioning that there was Shifting tech present--just not in the code. In the composition of the droid itself. Right at its heart. Its battery. Minimal power continuously recycled forever. Completely unnatural.

[A warm light for all droid kind to share.]

Aside from that, they're shockingly simple. But I certainly wouldn't mind the chance to look at them more, if you're feeling so inclined.
alloys: (☢ i'm going to come up and punch you;)

[He nods, though her plan raises more questions than it answers. That's usually how it works for him.]

But the kidnappings are completely random. How are you planning on being there at the right time, in the right place?

Luckily for you, I like lower odds. Makes it more rewarding when I actually succeed. Which I always do.

[So, she's in good hands, in his opinion.]
