So I'm curious. How bizarre did some of your reminder cards get? Did anyone not take them all at face value?

[She has valid reasons to ask, trust me. Selfish Nami-is-pissy reasons, mind, but that's what happens after you've spent a week with a scattered crew and a comatose chef and a mallynapped swordsman and find yourself playing babysitter to a bunch of people who really ought to know better, not looking at you, Perona. Also there's an anniversary coming up she really wished she hadn't still been around to see.

[Aside from these possibly redundant plottin shenanigans, Nami will be in her usual haunts: the mikan orchard in the afternoon and Good Spirits in the evening. Though around noon she's gonna drop in to Seventh Heaven (or if it's still closed, wherever Sanji is) to check on him. Just to make sure things are, y'know, okay now. Because mad cooking sprees are kind of a cause for alarm.  Moreso than Sleeping Beauty syndrome. Back atcha, chef.

Also, Zoro, hurry up and come home. She wants to have words about certain balancing games played. *_*]

A mountain got more attention than you...? [Sounds cryptic.] You mean like attention from people, you're not worth it, that kind of thing?

I'm actually not sure. They didn't specify what mountain or what type of attention. People seem to notice and respond to me pretty well, so, I'm not exactly sure how a mountain can beat me out in that category. [ Sounds cryptic? To Tenten, it just sounds confusing. ]

Yeah, that is officially the weirdest "reminder" I've heard so far.

[...heh.] Are you relieved or disappointed there's no fiance to find?

I'm not sure what it's supposed to remind. Even when I had no memory, I totally just ignored it.

Hell no. I'm happy as I can be. I don't have time for that! [ Ninja duties, yo! ] My life's already busy enough as it is. If I meet someone, it's going to be on my own accord. I'm totally relieved. I wouldn't be able to cope if I just suddenly had a brand new fiance.

[Nami grins appreciatively.] Good call. Malnosso-brand fiances are totally the worst thing on offer anyway. What does keep you busy around here?

If the Malnosso made me believe I was King Arthur, I don't trust their ability to pick a fiance for me.

I usually train with weapons somewhere in the woods where I can practice target practice. I'm not sure how to exactly working the training facility since my world's technology isn't quite there yet. I also hang out with my teammates from Konoha. [ She loves those Konoha boys!!! ] The days get a little idle sometimes, but I guess I don't mind. If it's that boring, I usually go out to eat or go shopping, or maybe go take a day trip to the hotsprings. [ Or argue with strangers.... ]

Sounds busy enough. I hear you on the battledome. I've kind of sort of worked out how to do some of the basic stuff, but that's about it.

I haven't even gotten that far yet. The one time I tried to use it, I just got a bunch of angry winged rhinoceroses vomiting fire everywhere. [ That was a very special day. For all of the wrong reasons ): ] I decided it'd be best to train in a more natural environment so I can avoid silly situations like those in the future.

[...okay that sounds hilarious, but Nami will keep her grin to herself. She knows all too well what putting in the wrong buttons there will do.] I could show you the basics some time if you want. Though I think you're right -natural environments are better.

[ She actually manages to grin at Nami's grin. It does sound really ridiculous. ]

Hm. I think I'll pass. You seem busy enough. I think I like the natural environments anyways. There's something homey about them.

Something tells me I'm going to skip on that one. I'd rather not have rhino meat on the menu for the next two weeks. [ ...That just sounds gross. ]

It's not as bad as you think. Though I suppose it depends on whether you've got a good cook around.

You've actually had Rhino? [ ...Huh. ] I consider myself a good cook, but, I like cooking with only things that actually sound appealing for consumption. Pachyderms don't sound like they'd be delicious.

I think it definitely depends on your chef. But I gotta say, rhino probably isn't the weirdest thing I've eaten. We had dinosaur once, too.

Dinosaur? [ what? ] Haven't those been dead for like, ever? [ EXPLAIN YOUR SORCERY TO ME, NAMI!!! ]

Mostly they are. Some islands on the Grand Line are ...kind of a little lost to time, you might say.

[weaponry]

So they somehow managed to skip mass extinction? [ Her time in Luceti has made this believable. A Tenten from a year ago would have laughed Nami out of the journal system. ): ]

In a sense. The Grand Line is made up of a whole bunch of islands with their own climates, ranging from bitterly frozen to incredibly hot, regardless of what the world was doing around them... I guess the climate and geographical makeup of that island was enough that the dinosaurs survived.

[weaponry]

So, in other words, each island is like its own separate universe in terms of composition and history? [ She guesses it makes sense. ] It's like they're a bunch of different worlds, but the sea essentially connects them all, right?

That's right! Though the majority of the islands are still what you'd expect islands really to be, with commerce and travel between them, there are still just those odd few that are far removed.

It's...not an island I want to visit again in a hurry. [Too many things trying to eat her.]

So, some islands are like little nations and others are like little worlds? Interesting. I wonder how some of them get left out.

Ah, and why is that? [ She doesn't know that yet, but she assumes the dinosaurs were easy to kill if she just casually refers to chomping on it. ]

A place like that carries a lot of illnesses that have long died out in the rest of the world. I got bitten by a prehistoric bug and nearly died.
