[Nami's had quite enough of sleeping. It's kind of disconcerting to be told it's now September, and it doesn't help that she's spent the time since Ling's rude wake-up call still sleeping most of her day away. So tired, all the time. Prone to falling asleep mid-shower, and that is annoying, to say the least.
Oh, well. A week has gone past and she can finally get through most of the day with no problems, so Nami takes advantage of the fact that there is no Chopper to tell her otherwise (and no Katara or Law at the house at the time) to sneak up to the orchard and see how it's fared in her near-two-month absence.
...huh. Been hot lately, she sees. And a lot less mikan up here than she was expecting. Nothing too alarming, and the place seems okay otherwise, pinwheels and all. Someone even fixed her cottage door, lookit that.
Welp. Observant villagers might see the low-lying rainclouds to the northeast of the village, a tiny little storm that barely covers an acre. It's too hot today anyway, may as well take advantage of the fact that she can cheat.]

Thanks, whoever fixed my door. Did you take some of the fruit as payment or should I blame someone else for that?

She gives her larger white wings a quick beat, she still hasn't quite gotten use to flying yet with the smaller Luceti wings in the way. She wants to fly away, but afraid of looking weak.
She keeps her wings out and open. Hoping to look big so the human and scary duck moves away.]

I don't mind people taking fruit, but that's my tree and if you stay in it too long you'll break that branch. It's not meant for human weight. Or...whatever you are. And if you do break my branch, I'll be kinda pissed. So please come down.

Xzana moves her lips back with a snarl. Trying to show off as many fangs as she possibly can. She still has no intention of coming down.]
I am not coming down so long as you and your lightening duck are around. [She doesn't care much about breaking branches. Tree climbing may not exactly be her specialty, but she just knows she wants to do the opposite of what the devil duck tamer wants.]

ALSO, WE DON'T CARE ABOUT YOUR TEETH. Well...maybe a little, and Nami does blink as they're shown off, but honestly. If you're terrified of Biri you're certainly nothing Nami needs to be worried about.]
It's pretty insulting not to take a girl at her word, by the way. Neither of us are going to hurt you. Unless you actually stay up there long enough to break my branch, at which point we're going to have a lot more than words. I've asked politely already. Come down.

Yet, now she really doesn't want to break this branch. That's an honest threat. She shifts her weight, testing the branch, not liking the noise it makes as she does.
She glares down at Nami with a low, angry growl in her throat. She really doesn't want to get down. Give her a minute to think this over.]

[The duck looks like it's going to argue. Seriously. And then Nami kinda looms over him, so Biri swings his head around to try and match Xzana glare for glare before slinking away. His kaah-ing probably translates to something along the lines of Okay okay I'm leaving but I'VE GOT MY EYE ON YOU B|
And then he's gone.]
There. No more lightning duck. Now will you come down?

She hesitates a bit, then finally jumps down gracefully, using her large wings to slow her fall. It is at least one against one now. Not that Nami has very long to try to convince her to stay.
In fact Nami has just as long as it takes Xzana to grab for her journal she left near the base of the tree. Not that she ever takes her eyes off Nami to do so. Once she has it in her hands she'll be working on backing away slowly from Nami: the devil duck tamer.]
