4th Wall
[And then there was a navigator
Sitting by the fountain
And sipping a lemonade
...which might be spiked, because Luceti goes better with alcohol these days, but nevertheless
She's just sitting there, watching the crowds.
Who the hell are you lot, then.]

What foolish, insignificant fools they are. They do not realize that I, the great and all powerful Aku, has returned to this pitiful land!
no subject
Because fourth wall but
Aku
Akkkk--
Nami drops her glass.
Smash. LOOK WHAT YOU DID.]
no subject
He pats her on the head.]
no subject
ACTUALLY I LOOK MORE KIND OF CATATONIC. THAT'S NOT COWERING, OKAY.
Aka: she'll just stare frozen at Aku while he pats her on the head. And then abruptly...
...VANISH. HAH.
Nope, still not cowering.

[There is Kureha, on a giant rabbit that's stocked up. Like hell she's leaving empty handed.]

riding a lapahn
Um.
Oh damn, it really is a shame Chopper's not here. ;;]
Well, it's been a few years. Uh...
...did you only just arrive?
no subject
By the way, the lapahn is wearing a jersey.]
Heeheeheehee~ Almost two years I say. [Don't ask how, she's just good at that. Time to park the lapahn before she hops off.]
Afraid so, don't ask how because even I'm not sure. So, how you been?
no subject
No, I've got a fair idea anyway. Ah... good? Sort of? I haven't been sick again-- well, not sick sick. [A cold here or there. She never really did cotton on to the whole common sense of Not Exposing One's Midriff. 8|]
Been stuck here way too long, though. Ah, but everything's going well at home! We've hit the New World now.
no subject
Not bad. Worst than the Grand Line I heard.
no subject
...boy that sounds terrible out of context.]
I've heard that too. So far we can handle it, but we've only just arrived. We'll be on our toes. Well... most of us, anyway.
no subject
Goddammit! I thought I was done with this place once and for all!
[He's not disturbing you, is he, Nami?]
no subject
Sucks to be you. Lemonade?
no subject
No thanks. I'll pass. [Drinking with Nami usually didn't end well for him.] This place got crowded while I was gone.
no subject
[An observation. A grumpy one at that. Why can't you just come back to stay B| Bring Noel with you, gawd.]
no subject
Ragna stopped himself from looking like an idiot for too long, and faced Nami.] The hell does that mean? They messed up when they nabbed me?
[Yo, 'sup. Ragna's still a little slow in the realization department. Some things never change.]
Dammit, every time something happens in this hellhole, I end up confused.
no subject
...it might mean you're not here long. [This grin. It is slightly wistful.] Pity. How's things at home?
no subject
[Not a bad development, though Ragna could at least tell that it was somewhat shitty. For multiple reasons. And then it hits him. Nami asking him about things at home, back on Earth. He didn't remember a damn thing about Luceti once he ended up back in Kagutsuchi, and now that he was back in Luceti, he remembered everything.
It forces a somewhat pained expression on Ragna's face, if only for a moment before he pushes it back. Everything he learned in Luceti, all of his friends, and... Noel. None of it mattered back home, and he was probably going to end up back there in a day or two. Swell.
No need to talk about that. Just answer the question, Ragna.]
Rough. [Pause.] Soon as I need to find Noel, she's off missing on a wild goose chase with her pet squirrel.
1/2
[First thing she thinks is well that IS kinda fitting--]
no subject
Well, you two have a habit of turning up here together. Maybe she'll turn up. Also--
[Uh. Awkward smile. Because she's not sure what to maek of that pained expression, honestly. Is remembering this place a good or a bad thing.] ...welcome back?
no subject
[Damn beastkin. Damn Tsubaki. Damn Ikaruga. But all of that is besides the point, because Nami had an actual point she brought up. A valid one that was worth considering, even if it led Ragna to the thought that maybe it was best if Noel didn't end up turning up.]
Yeah. Maybe. [Another sigh.] Thanks. How've you been holding up?
no subject
no subject
[Sounds familiar. Not the exact details, but it sounded familiar enough to ring a bell, give or take. But... wait, that's it?]
Hold up. Nothing else has-- How long have I even been gone?
no subject
And I don't know. I got back late November, so at least a couple months.
no subject
... November. [He huffs.] At least it wasn't a week later like last time.
[Nice save.]
no subject
On the other hand, she didn't take it all that seriously, because she grins.] And look, the place isn't half destroyed this time, either.
oops missing any icon where ragna isn't frowning
[This is a nice turn for the conversation. Yes. Good. He can return that grin.] No kidding? I'm sure any other person would appreciate it more than I would. But it is nicer.
but ragna smiling is so unusual!
it happens! sometimes!
no subject
Any time you want to blow the place up, make sure to count me in.
no subject
I'm pretty sure someone isn't gonna agree with it, though. You cool with that?
no subject
no subject
[Not his fault that, in his case, it was pretty much everyone who disagreed with him.]
But I'm taking that as you not giving a damn.
no subject
no subject
And with no wings, either.
Behind Nami, there's a yell, followed by a splash of water that's sure to hit her -- and emerging from the shallow depths is (1) blonde girl.
Staring. Wide-eyed. Big entrance aside, the owner of that red hair looks surprisingly familiar... which is to say, she's temporarily lost the ability to speak.
Hi.]
no subject
Noel?
{There, improvement. She actually managed a name. 8|]
don't mind my need for more than 15 icons... ;~;
[Noel's mouth is practically hanging open. Aside from now being soaking wet at the end of January, having literally fallen from the sky to achieve that plunge, this wasn't... Noel didn't expect...
Yet, despite all this time away, she already knew.]
Na... Nami?
[She hesitates, almost, but the memories are crashing in. Nami. Nami. Her friend.
And now Noel is smiling. How could she forget it?]
No way... is that really you? I'm not dreaming, am I?
I don't mind at all ;w;
[Soaking wet at the end of January might end up being bad for both of them, given Nami's practically half tumbling into the fountain in order to give you a hug. Splash. Well, up to her knees anyway.] I missed you so much!
Good, because there will be plenty. ;w;!
[Noel may be sopping wet at this point, but she'll still manage to get back up on her feet to quickly return the hug. One well-earned hug that's been months overdue.]
I've missed you, too! [Does it count? Noel almost feels bad that she just remembered, but... well, nevermind that. She remembers now.] It feels like it's been forever since I last saw you! I-I... [O-Oh, she might be tearing up...]
...how long has it been? What's happened? How are you? You have to tell me everything!
no subject
You left, Ragna left not far behind you-- heck, I left the day after you did, but I came back because the Malnosso have a wonderful sense of humour like that. Since then I've kind of been... out of town. I only just came back. So this is lucky!
[And not a convenience of the mun's at all!] What about you? Is everything okay at home?
no subject
Even with their whole reunion at hand, however, that smile inevitably falters at the mention of her home world.]
If memory serves me correctly, only a month had passed since I returned to my own world. [She fidgets slightly, looking from the ground back to Nami again; some habits never quite die.] It's... a lot has happened since then.

...welcome to Luceti? [...she can't tell from this angle if he has wings. Just kinda...leaning back a bit to see if she can get a peek.]
no subject
Fortunately, he spots Nami sitting by the fountain. Though he can't imagine her being here. If she was going to be somewhere not at home, it would be on the Nautilus with them right?
So that could only mean...
Zoro smirks and comes up to her]
Got lost, didn't you?
[take that]
Hi I'm late
huh. Nami glances up at him as if he's just announced he's taking up knitting. What.]
Do I look lost to you?
Typical. B| -pats Nami-
Don't worry, though, I won't tell anyone. [Not that anyone would believe him. And then he notices...] Oi, where are they serving lemonade?
no subject
no subject
Well I guess you can follow me back. [though it might take a while to get there, admittedly, since he still wasn't sure how he'd gotten here]
So what is this place? We're both here so it can't be heaven. [A joke though he was sure Nami could sneak her way into any afterlife she wanted.]
