[And then there was a navigator
Sitting by the fountain
And sipping a lemonade
...which might be spiked, because Luceti goes better with alcohol these days, but nevertheless
She's just sitting there, watching the crowds.
Who the hell are you lot, then.]

Goddammit! I thought I was done with this place once and for all!
[He's not disturbing you, is he, Nami?]
no subject
Sucks to be you. Lemonade?
no subject
No thanks. I'll pass. [Drinking with Nami usually didn't end well for him.] This place got crowded while I was gone.

[An observation. A grumpy one at that. Why can't you just come back to stay B| Bring Noel with you, gawd.]

Ragna stopped himself from looking like an idiot for too long, and faced Nami.] The hell does that mean? They messed up when they nabbed me?
[Yo, 'sup. Ragna's still a little slow in the realization department. Some things never change.]
Dammit, every time something happens in this hellhole, I end up confused.

...it might mean you're not here long. [This grin. It is slightly wistful.] Pity. How's things at home?
no subject
[Not a bad development, though Ragna could at least tell that it was somewhat shitty. For multiple reasons. And then it hits him. Nami asking him about things at home, back on Earth. He didn't remember a damn thing about Luceti once he ended up back in Kagutsuchi, and now that he was back in Luceti, he remembered everything.
It forces a somewhat pained expression on Ragna's face, if only for a moment before he pushes it back. Everything he learned in Luceti, all of his friends, and... Noel. None of it mattered back home, and he was probably going to end up back there in a day or two. Swell.
No need to talk about that. Just answer the question, Ragna.]
Rough. [Pause.] Soon as I need to find Noel, she's off missing on a wild goose chase with her pet squirrel.

[First thing she thinks is well that IS kinda fitting--]

Well, you two have a habit of turning up here together. Maybe she'll turn up. Also--
[Uh. Awkward smile. Because she's not sure what to maek of that pained expression, honestly. Is remembering this place a good or a bad thing.] ...welcome back?
no subject
[Damn beastkin. Damn Tsubaki. Damn Ikaruga. But all of that is besides the point, because Nami had an actual point she brought up. A valid one that was worth considering, even if it led Ragna to the thought that maybe it was best if Noel didn't end up turning up.]
Yeah. Maybe. [Another sigh.] Thanks. How've you been holding up?

[Sounds familiar. Not the exact details, but it sounded familiar enough to ring a bell, give or take. But... wait, that's it?]
Hold up. Nothing else has-- How long have I even been gone?

And I don't know. I got back late November, so at least a couple months.
no subject
... November. [He huffs.] At least it wasn't a week later like last time.
[Nice save.]

On the other hand, she didn't take it all that seriously, because she grins.] And look, the place isn't half destroyed this time, either.
oops missing any icon where ragna isn't frowning
[This is a nice turn for the conversation. Yes. Good. He can return that grin.] No kidding? I'm sure any other person would appreciate it more than I would. But it is nicer.
but ragna smiling is so unusual!
it happens! sometimes!

Any time you want to blow the place up, make sure to count me in.

I'm pretty sure someone isn't gonna agree with it, though. You cool with that?

no subject
[Not his fault that, in his case, it was pretty much everyone who disagreed with him.]
But I'm taking that as you not giving a damn.
