[The announcement doesn't come until she's tracked down what's left of her crew and paid a visit to Ace and Sabo to inform them in person. She could wish Sanji and Zoro were here, because she winces at the idea of them finding out on the grapevine before they even return home. But it can't be helped.

Besides, maybe he'll be back before they return. He always has before.

She can hope he isn't.]

[Voice]

For those that knew him, Luffy has gone home. [She sounds perfectly calm, if a little distant.] He didn't leave anything, so... wish him well.

Can I come in?

[Judging by her expression, this is something serious.] Sure. [He stands aside, opening the door more for her.] Come on in.

[Nami does, arms coming up to hug herself briefly as she peers into the house. It's not something she really wants to tell twice, she tells herself. Certainly it's not putting it off.]

Is Sabo home?

[... right about here is where his heart sinks. And it's easy to see on his face.] Yeah... I'll go get him.

[ooc: do you want me to bring Sabo into this thread? I can ask Anrii.]

[Oh, Ace. She smilse a little sadly when she sees that expression, and she nods, but she won't follow him as he goes off to find his little brother. Just sinks down onto the arm of a chair and waits.]

[ooc: if Anrii has time for it sure!]

[ooc: OKAY SO I couldn't get Anrii, so Ace will just tell him.]

[He comes back out without Sabo, and his hands in his pockets.] I guess he stepped out for a while. I can... tell him whatever it is when he gets back.

[...] Is Luffy...? [He can't quite finish that sentence.]

[She's a little relieved at that, to be honest. Nami sighs and runs a hand through her hair, slouching a little tiredly.]

He's gone home again.

[... shit. He lets out a sigh of his own, rubbing his face with his hand. This more than frustrates him right now, but he can't bother to show it. Nami's not doing too well right now.] ... do you want to sit down?

[She laughs softly at that. It's not exactly funny, but... Nami pats the arm of the chair.] Already sitting. Thanks anyway. [She's no desire to get comfortable.

She also doesn't think Ace will appreciate the "It's better this way" speech, and she can't blame him for that. So instead, she follows on quietly.] He was so glad to see you again.

...and it's Luffy.

[He's vanished before.]

--ah, yeah. You are. [Sorry, he's a little scatterbrained at the moment.

But that next line really hits home. And hard. His fists start to tremble from trying to keep his emotions under control. He knows it's Luffy, he's be gone and back before. But there's always the nagging feeling he won't come back. Everyone else can be calm about it because they'll see him again. While he doesn't blame them, Ace still wishes he could. So forgive him, Nami, but he's going to hug you now.] I was so happy to hear he's doing well in the New World...

[Forgiven. Nami expected him to do this, anyway. Who could blame him? She fell apart when Bellemere left.

So she returns the hug, holding tight, voice soft against his shoulder.]

Still going strong from my time, too.

[It always brings such relief to him to hear all this. Even if he's seen it himself, that reassurance means so much.] He always will. The kid just doesn't know when to stop, after all.

Nope.

[Sometimes frustrating. Often a wonderful thing.]

You gonna be okay?

... yeah. I'll be fine after a bit. [The next couple of days will be hard, though.] Will you?

...yeah. [She still sounds a little surprised at her own response, though, and Nami smiles absentley.] I think so. We talked before he left, so... I'm lucky in that regard.

[... he's a bit jealous of you, Nami, but it'll pass.] It's for the best that someone got to say goodbye to him, too.

I think so.

I won't keep you too long, but... we're around if you ever need us, Ace. Though I'm glad you have Marco and Sabo here.

... me too. I'm glad you have your crew here to help you, too. If you ever need anything, just call, okay?

[She smiles.]
